Abstract

A seasonal study on the occurrence of marine algae was conducted during 2008-2010 along 17 stations on the Goa Coast. About 39 species have been reported for the first time, thereby forming new records for the Coast of Goa. This paper gives a preliminary report of these species. An attempt to list the algae along with its taxonomic descriptions and ecological notes has been made here.
